What. The. frick.

Braves have called about Eduardo Nunez

If we trade JJ for a below average defensive SS that has a career .687 OPS in the minor leagues, I might lose my shite.

Yeah, I'd be fine with moving JJ for a package that included Nunez and him being our everyday SS for the time being.

I saw somewhere the NY Daily news suggested JJ for Nunez, Swisher and a prospect

that'd be a badass deal

If we get Swisher we will have to trade Prado. We will have no choice.

lol no

Nunez is pretty much shite. Would rather let Pastornicky play to be honest.

Swishwer is solid, but he only has one year left on his contract. The other prospect wouldn't be anything special after that.

Why do you think we can get a surefire stud for JJ?

I just don't see it...

I never said directed stud but don't send me a career utility guy, and probably a below average guy, along with a guy we will only have one year

Find someone like a Lorenzo Cain that has really good potential and will be under team control for the foreseeable future.

If we made that trade, it would just be for the point of trading. If we can't signiicantly upgrade this team for the next 4 or 5 years, then I'd rather hold on to Jurrjens.

I think we all know it would have been robbery if we got Cain for JJ.

I guess I just don't see why anyone would give us a high upside everyday guy for him.

If not, then I'm holding onto him and hoping he produces a productive firsth half, then shipping him at the deadline when teams start getting desperate.

I still think we find that piece we want later on in the offseason. It's still really early.

@ScoutingtheSAL:
#Rockies Seth Smith for #Braves Martin Prado seems pretty close. Albert Campos makes sense as a prospect to sweeten the pot if he's not hurt

No.

Platooning Seth Smith and Matt Diaz in left sounds like a bad idea to me.

I would LOVE the trade.......

If we had a different manager.

IMO, Smith/Diaz properly deployed > Prado. Campos is a helluva nice piece to pick up as well.. he has a lot of potential:

But, since we all know Fredi won't use them right, it's a moot point. Also, if this, in anyway, leads to moving Jason Heyward, then frick it.

Looks like the draft is getting a major make-over.

We signed Aaron Russell to a minor league deal with a camp invite. He had a 3.03 ERA in 36 appearances with the Rays last year. He will spend time in the bigs next year, most likely.
