He's not worth that.
He's coming off his worst 3 year stretch and is now an injury liability.
No thanks.

Yeah, it's not going to happen for the Braves

Yeah, guys, I know you are all ready to watch AGon bat .230 and do shite nothing next year and all.
Sorry for suggesting we actually try and get an upgrade.

I don't think anyone is saying they don't want him as a player. No one wants A Gon back on this team, that I promise you.
There's just not much point in discussing the possibility because there's no chance it happens.
We all know the Braves all too well. We'll re-sign A Gon or some other old scrub with the bat to a one year deal. Pastornicky will probably get in there around the all star break if he continues to produce.

And we'll be watching October because of it IMO.

Exactly.
And I don't want to get locked in to some kind of overpriced deal for a declining veteran who might have 2 good years left. And I'm being generous using the word "good" there.

You are selling JRoll way too short.

Nah, that's not what I was saying.
I am saying I don't want him for what it will take to get him.
Too much money and too long of a deal for a guy like that.

Come on now.
We're going to have the same team, minus D Lowe, that made the playoffs 2 years ago and right there till the end this year. Even with a shite offensive SS, we'll be there right in the thick of things. World Series contender? Probably not, but once you get there who knows what will happen.

Am I?
His last year of great baseball was in 2008. That's 3 seasons of average-above average play now. Obviously anyone is an upgrade to A-Gon, but is worth locking into a bad contract? Count me out.

We won the '95 Series with Blauser and Belliard...

Rolllins only made 8.5 mil the last 3 years.
I doubt now, at 33, anyone is going to give him 10 mil a year.

So you'd be okay paying him 4 years 32 mil with a played option 5th year?
No way Jose.
No way Jose.

We'll also have the "same team that missed the playoffs last year" by that logic.
As of now, we have no idea what to expect from Freddie or JHey.
Chipper will be okay.
McCann will be solid (but more valuable cause he's a catcher).
Bourn will be good.
Uggla will be good.
No clue who our LF will be year... because we're moving Prado and JJ IMO.
We'll be even younger in the rotation with Minor and one of Delgado/Teheran to be our 5.
And then you throw in an auto-out at SS?
Obviously it all depends on what we get in return for JJ/Prado, but to me, the chance to sign Rollins, have a stop gap to Pastornicky that is something more than worthless AND to weaken the Phillies is worth the price (which I don't expect to be nearly as high as you guys do).

Yeah we need a do-over in that trade.
Cox kinda hosed us on his last 2 big moves.
1.) Telling them to get rid of Yunel
2.) Telling them to hire Frediot.
Come on Bobby.
