Seems like your boy Prado is on the way out as well.

I think he's much less likely, but that possibility is certainly out there since any deal we make with Jurrjens will include a major league ready, or close to it, outfielder.
In that case, I would certainly understand not wanting to pay $4.5M on a utility player, even though he would probably be the most valuable utility player in baseball.

You can scratch KC off the JJ list with their acquisition of Sanchez

You can also X out any notion of getting Lorenzo Cain. This move opens him up to play CF next year for the Royals.

Exactly why 31 said KC was off the list. KC is still going to look for starting pitching, preferably a top of the rotation guy, but without Cain, no deal with the Braves is going to get down.

Unfortunately, not a damn thing. Nothing I've heard of at least.

I'd really like for us to sign Jimmy Rollins.
Sure, he's not what he was, but he's a veteran, still plays good SS, and his bat (even now) is significantly better than AGon.
Plus, it'd hurt the Phils, as they'd have to scramble for a SS replacement.
Would probably cost a little more, but he's old enough he could be the stopgap until Pastornicky as well.

Dude ain't gonna sign a 1 year.
Posted on 11/8/11 at 10:48 am to lsu31always
I think we could sign him for 2-3 years.

There you go thinking again.
Posted on 11/8/11 at 11:01 am to OBUDan
It would take 5 years to snatch him away from the Phils, as he will probably get 3 with a player or vesting option for a 4th with them, and we aren't going to pay more than they can.
I can't see us giving anyone more than a 1 year deal or maybe 1 year with an option.

Swamps, what you thinking Jimmy gets? 5/50?
Posted on 11/8/11 at 11:23 am to lsu31always
I think 4 years around 40 with a 5th year player or vesting option for probably 6 or 7
