Yeah we're putting a lot of faith in a guy who albeit young hasn't showed a whole lot yet...

There's no faith yet. Were not dependent on him for the future right now. There are lots of good CFs available after next year and we always will have the pieces to trade for a young CF if we want to go that route.
We can just sit back and see how things are looking late next year as to how we want to approach our future at that position.

Yeah, the good news is that there are quite a few CF that should be FA after the 2012 season, so we'll have options there as well.

Yeah, that's about the 3rd or 4th time people have said that... and I disagree. There ain't shite out there for CF. Kemp is going to get a huge deal to stay in LA. McCutchen is going to be a major piece of the Pirates going forward. So there's your only 2 younger guys with stud potential.
Peter Bourjos in LA may become expendable, with das wunderchild Mike Trout emerging. Bourjos is a sick defender and a decent bat, but nothing special. I'd love to swing a deal for him.
Look at this list though:

Uggla on Power Alley (XM 89) right now

I doubt we'll be going for young guys with stud potential, we can't get spoiled with the amount of money were gonna have to spend soon. There are, however, guys out there that can be solid for a couple of years until we hopefully develop someone from the system or trade for one.

That's the wrong FA list Dan. Need the 2013 one.

Copy/pasted wrong link:

Still not anything much of note...
They are all either old, out of our price range or both.

But still guys that can hold the job until we hopefully have someone that can take over internally. I'm holding out hope that can be Lipka.
Otherwise, any other young guy with stud potential that you want will be coming from a trade

Who are you talking about exactly?
On the list, you have these guys:
Shane Victorino (who will be 33 by then)
Melky Cabrera (doubt we ever bring him back)
Bourn (it's a possibility, i guess)
Marlon Byrd (will be 36)
Granderson (will be 32 and ain't leaving NY)
Josh Hamilton (will be 33 and too expensive anyhow)
Torii Hunter (can't play CF any more)
Matt Kemp (not coming here)
Angel Pagan (will be dead by then)
B.J. Upton (the only option who will be realistically young enough and potentially affordable for the Braves).
I guess I'm just not seeing who you are referring to...

Scott Proctor will be DFA'd any minute now...
This is exciting

Victorino, Bourn, Pagan, Upton, and yes, even Byrd would all be good to decent options as 2/3 year stop gaps depending on the player.
As I've said but you don't pay attention very well, anyone younger with stud potential like you want will have to come via trade.
And as Ive said 3 times in this thread, CF is not even a position we can really discuss right now because we don't know what we have internally yet. We can't properly evaluate what we need or what were going to do until this time next year. We'll know a helluva lot more by then.
