Shitty junk throwing pitchers (lefties in particular) tend to dominate our lineup. The Nationals always seem to have a ton of guys like that.

Update with Bourn trade:
Braves 2011 team Payroll: $94.5M
Braves 2012 projected team Payroll: $93M

Even without McLouth, Linebrink, AGon, Moylan, Sherrill, Proctor, or Kawakami returning only about 1.5M will be coming off the books. Obviously some in house guys will fill in some of those spots, but to make any kind of move outside the organization, Wren will have to be very creative with some contracts like D-Lowe's.

Bourn will cost the Braves about $600K for the rest of 2011, but figures to earn between seven and nine million in arbitration this winter.

I'm wondering if he'll actually get that much in arb. I know he's having a career year, but the arb. process always favors the HR/RBI guys and typically shorts the defense/speed types.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was more like 5-7 after the process.
