In the first round, we select 9th (Failure to sign Carter Stewart) and 21st (Regular Pick). We have the 6th highest bonus pool with $11,532,200.
This should be a fun day.

We can also now sign Craig Kimbrel and Dallas Keuchel without draft pick repercussion.

No game at the big league level today. Ender has resumed baseball activities. Will be interesting if the Braves make the right move and keep Raking Riley.

No way they can sit a guy with a 1.083 OPS who is averaging a HR every 8 ABs or so. I don't care if he averages an error a game in the field.

I assumed you were just coming in to shite talk about the nats series. Forgot it was 2 games in the middle of 2 off days.

BPA would be no pitchers, and Id be all for it.

Callis said there was some late buzz for Corbin Carroll, and I'd be 100% for that.

Edit:Fangraphs mocked Carroll to Atlanta this morning.

Callis has WNCW SS Greg Jones as our second pick and Fangraphs has Will Wilson SS of NC State.

Dont love those picks but they are better than Davidson, Hoese, or Busch. Still want a prep pitcher.

Is Ender hitting fungos to second to get back in playing shape?

What exactly is interesting about the Riley situation? No way in hell he is removed from the lineup or sent down. It's more about whether they trade Ender or send down Camargo

I bet they send Camargo down to play every day for a while.

Bring me Carroll tonight.

I'd be fine with Carroll. I'd prefer Rutledge or Bishop.

I’m not in on Rutledge. Bishop would be my second choice.

Why do you want a reliever with the 9th pic

Carroll (or if Abrahms slipped down to 9 somehow as suggested by FG in their latest mock) and a prep pitcher with 21 would be ideal. Would be nice if Priester could drop to us there.

3:30 Is Atlanta/Langeliers buzz increasing or staying steady?
Keith Law
3:31 I mentioned him in the mock - him or Carroll, given what I projected 1-8.

3:34 Can you clarify something? I was under the impression that if Atlanta fails to sign the #9 pick this year, that they would not receive a pick next year (since that pick was already compensation for Stewart from 2018). From what I've read today, I may have been mistaken. Do you know for sure what the rule is?
Keith Law
3:35 You are mistaken - Atlanta's pick for Stewart, Arizona's pick for McClain, and the Dodgers' pick for Ginn are all protected, so if they don't sign their picks this year, it rolls one more year. Next year's compensatory picks would be unprotected.

To me it’s clear that we really, really miss Ender’s glove. I wish we’d move Riley to 3rd, Ronnie back to LF, Camargo to AAA and Donaldson to the bench.
