My argument is that yes, he has sucked this year, but what makes Elliot fricking Johnson any better? I'd rather have the threat of Uggla connecting with a long ball than watch Elliot suck with no threat.

My argument since I've watched the Braves be penny pinchers for years is that why have we passed on so many guys because of cost but we shell out ridiculous amounts of cash for guys that are questionable? We try to be cheap and blow every positive it can return by dumping millions in to guys that had no business playing in Atlanta in the first place.
You either play money ball or you don't. If Oakland had the payroll we had can you imagine what they would be doing?
