It's the backbone of the organization. Most of the talent through the years was homegrown with the exception of Maddux, McGriff, and Galarraga.

I've acquired Banuelos, Rasmus, Brett Gardner, Jacob Turner, Clete Thomas, Jonny Venters, Arodys Vizcaino, Shelby Miller, Neftali Feliz and Mitch Moreland on MLB The Show for Carlos Lee, Bourn, Pence, Wandy, Brett Wallace, and Clint Barmes in various deals.
Just tell your GM to do that.

I'm not saying it will happen. But the Braves have a stockpile of solid young pitchers and if Wren feels like ya'll are a piece or two away from making a run at the division and ultimately the WS (which given the Braves record, he should) then I don't think he'll hesitate to tap into that stockpile to get what he wants.

It would literally take Kemp for the Braves to trade him this season. You can not justify trading someone performing like he is this season on the team with the 4th best record in baseball

The team is going to be sold before next season from everything I have read. It's just a question of who buys it. If another ownership group that just looks at the franchise as purely an investment opportunity is what we get, then nothing will change. If someone like Arthur Blank buys the team (I would love it if he does) then we will get to keep all, or at least most, of the young talent we have.
