Why would Riley be trying to hit a ground ball there

Literally said I get why he wasn't, that was more about Kakes.

He rolls over and Riley's fly ball ties the game.

Yep, terrible loss to the overachieving Marlins who are now even at 18-18.
Great job managing by Donnie baseball.

One of the most frustrating in some time. We refuse to do the little things. It’s embarrassing watching homerun swings with a guy on 3rd over and over again.

Man Riley just missed that

He did, and I wouldn’t have called for it probably, but with where they were playing, he could have pushed a bunt up the 1st base line and cruised us into 1st and 3rd with 1 out.

Nick lost that half-inning on the very 1st pitch. Pitchers aren’t supposed to be able to get away with those kinda mistakes against big league hitters. It should have been a walk off. Worst case scenario a hard line out to deep right, advancing the runner. frick. Oh well. What’s next.

The middle of the lineup killed us today. When you have guys like Hech and Ender playing a good game, you can’t afford to not take advantage of it. Rough game for Ozuna, d’Arnaud, Kakes, and Riley.

Is there any doubt that this lineup will do the same in the playoffs?

So the fact that they still haven’t announced the starter yet means it has to be a guy from Gwinnett right?

Night and day managing styles

Marlins would be 10 games under 500 if Snit was pulling the strings.

Does it really matter? It’s just Fried and a bunch of scrubs.

That's honestly what it feels like.

The front office just refuses to believe that these guys coming through the farm are scrubs. Nothing will convince them otherwise, not matter how many chances they are given.

ETA: Of the failed starting pitchers we've tried this year, you can make an argument that Wright performed the worst of the bunch, he certainly walked the most.

Maybe they feel, of the rest, he has the most potential.

I had a feeling Fried wasn't right. His velocity has been down big time.

His back probably hurts from carrying this awful rotation.

Sad to see Charlie go. Wish he could've gotten some more ABs instead of Johan. He was also one of our best relievers.
