I've never seen video of him or even a scouting report so I didn't include him but he's definitely dominating so far after being pretty terrible in his pro debut. But someone that's older than his competition and doesn't provide any strikeouts isn't going to get much love. We'll see how he stacks up in AA.

Yep, but screw this year. It's about prospects.

So when we should probably be losing as many games as possible, we've now won 6 out of 7

I love it though. Can't cheer for this team to lose no matter what the circumstances are.

To put the franchise in the best possible shape for the future? Absolutely.

This team has been amazing to this point, but their amazing has been playing .500 ball. And we're not going to be big buyers at the deadline to push the team over the edge at the expense of top prospects, and a huge splash is going to be the only thing that gets this team over the .500 mark and into World Series contenders.

Now we are going to be in the position to keep players that are at their absolute top value that could help the future years such as Maybin, AJ, Grilli, etc.

Not saying it's a terrible thing and I'm glad this team is winning. It's just a fact.

Amazing the turnaround for our system in the last year, all while throwing out a decent product on the field.

It's deep as hell. Can confidently say that I think most in the top 15ish will make it to the bigs at some point.

Jim Callis agrees with you (as do I) and thinks we may have the deepest farm system in baseball:

Braves system stacked

the fact that we are at .500 84 games into the season says a lot about the organization.

before and during spring training I really thought 75 wins was our absolute ceiling

Yea, we've over achieved. That's fun to watch, but I just don't think this team has enough talent to truly compete for a title. I'm in the sell high group. Everyone thought this season would be pretty rough. We've gotten to enjoy the first half, now let's try to bring in more long term pieces for guy who are not in the long term plan.

Padres are reportedly looking to sale JUp and Kimbrel. We should swoop in and take Kimbrel back for pennies on the dollar

Kind of feel bad for them. They pretty much depleted their system by sending us a majority of their top prospects AND our major league product is much better.

I think it must be shitty to be a Padres fan and be teased this year like they were, but I don't feel sorry for them.
