This almost makes it sound like they are ready to try to get rid of him for good and just be done with it. Wren can pull off some major trade rape, but every big contract he has handed out has been a fricking disaster.

I guess if someone claimed him on waivers they might consider letting him go Alex Rios style, but they are just two months into a 5 year deal for a guy who is still a four tool player and a premium defensive position at a fairly affordable rate.

I think it is just a question of whether they think he can get it back. If they don't, which I kind of doubt, then they have to try to unload him and cut the losses. Of course, I thought Nasty Nate's career was done, but he has been playing very well in Baltimore. That may have been more Larry Parrish and Terry Pendleton than anything though.
