Justin just looks lost in the OF at times, so weird.

To be fair, not many corner OFs would have gotten to that one. Unfortunately, one of the few who might have is playing CF for us tonight.

In general though, he is consistently making flat out terrible breaks and compounding it by taking inefficient routes.

I'm fine with it. BJ is a big boy making a frick ton of money. needs to hear shite like that

What purpose does that serve? Is trashing him to the media going to improve his timing? It would be one thing if they had talked it over, but just wondering about a demotion outloud is an unprofessional, classless move by Fredi at best.

Oh, my problem wasn't with him not getting to the ball, it just should have been a double not a triple. Instead of backing off and catching the ball off the wall when he saw he couldn't reach it he just did that weird wave and went into the corner, was just a bizarre route and move.

do we have the quote?

it's could have been "Fredi, you think about sending him down?"

"yea, it's crossed my mind, but we haven't even discussed that at this point"

Is this why Arizona didn't like him?

"Pena should be playing everyday"

Anybody hitting over .150 should be playing everyday, we have plenty of spots for them

It was a source of the complaints about him out here yes, defensively anyway. He's always been slight above average overall in the OF but makes many goofy plays from time to time.

That can give the impression that he doesn't care, maybe that's what fueled the trade rumors. It took Bobby Cox one Andruw Jones fukkup to yank him, although he should have been yanked for missing fastball down the middle after fastball down the middle.

A lot of stuff compounded in Arizona. Jogged out ground balls, booed by the fans and then said he doesn't care what the fans think of him, made some silly mistakes in the outfield, didn't hit enough homers for their liking, etc.

Just a lot of fans who were too focused on doing the little things and overreacted every single day, rather than looking at production over a full season.

Overall, very similar to many fans who post itt on a daily basis.
