Olson just committed an error for a third straight game.

They keep saying the situation with Acuna isn’t serious, but I have this bad feeling they are going to retroactively IL him. And I’m worried we don’t see him on the field again until after the All Star break.

It’s time to work on a winning streak

I doubt that. He is with the team in Milwaukee and was running before the game.
Doesn't mean he'll necessarily play in this series, but if it was that serious, he'd be back in ATL getting round the clock treatment and rehabbing.

Frenchie doesn’t seem to be traveling this year.

That’s good to hear. I thought I had read something that said he stayed in Atlanta. Glad I am wrong.

If he isn't, I hope Moylan does every road game. He's so much better than Byrd or Jordan.
Also, I think Peralta has the best stuff out of all of Milwaukee's starters, Burnes included. Peralta is nasty.

Riley's average EV during this slump is more worrisome than the fact that he's not getting hits.

Seems like every game we are finding a new way to screw it up

I thought Strider was going to start tomorrow. What is the aversion to starting him?

frick it, I'll say it, we have to acquire another bat if we want to make the playoffs.

16 strikeouts.
This is a bad baseball team.

All we’ve got are names. Nobody is playing worth a shite.

#Braves hitters have 32 strikeouts, 5 walks and 3 runs scored in 20 innings over the past two days.
They have struck out 45 times with 7 walks in the past three games.

I know we all love the guy for his contributions to the team over the last few years, but at what point does Duvall get taken out of the lineup? He's been such a bad hitter that he's borderline unplayable. I do think Rosario will be a lot better when he can, you know, see the baseball. Ozuna has been pretty bad lately, but that contract would be hard to trade and he's owed too much money for this to realistically happen, but he needs to be a platoon only player right now. The worse these guys play, the more realistic I think it gets for Harris to play his way up if he's absolutely tearing the cover off the ball in the minors.
Riley, Olson, and Albies have been pretty bad for awhile now.
This team is so perplexing right now.

This is Duvall's last year of team control, so he's gone after this year, but I doubt they let him go this season.
He's actually been one of the better defensive centerfielders in the league this season.

Riley
Something is wrong with him, like an injury or something.

Olson
I know this isn't who he is, or will be over the duration of his time here. But he has been the biggest disappointment so far. Defense has been trash and his hitting with runners on has been that as well.
quote:
Albies
He's been playing like Ozzie Albies. He will never not swing the bat, no matter where the ball is.

#Braves are putting Tyler Matzek on the IL with shoulder soreness and sending him for an exam, and bringing up Tucker Davidson to start Tuesday. Snitker said Strider likely would've started Tuesday if they didn't have to put Matzek on IL and need to use Strider tonight.

Guys on radio today were saying that Riley's struggles coincided with him having a kid and that he's not getting any sleep. EOF also brought this up on 755 is Real and said he thinks that's at least part of what's going on with Riley.

God help that bullpen.
