Maybe we close the series out with a much-needed couple of wins. Maybe not.

Braves chase Vargas after 1/3 of an inning. Dude couldn't find the strike zone

And Newcomb just gave up the entire fricking lead. I don't know what the Braves are going to do with him. I've had just about enough of his lack of command.

1 1/3 innings for Newcomb. Christ. Hopefully Touki can right the ship.

Do you send Newcomb to the minors to send a message to shite or get off the pot?

Alonso, Conforto, McNeil, and Nimmo is a great core

Send him down when Folty and/or Soroka are ready. Fried definitely shouldn’t be the one to go down.

I'll riot if they send Fried down.

I don't think Newcomb is part of any future rotation plans along with Gausman and Teheran.

If he’s not part of the future rotation, I wonder whether we trade him or move him to the bullpen. His control is just so bad that he might not even be a bullpen option.

I think Touki is auditioning for one of the starts against the Indians next weekend.

My biggest issue with Newcomb is his off speed pitches have been shite since the second half of last year. His curveball was his best pitch as a rookie but has disappeared on him since. Last year his changeup was a solid pitch for him but he hasn’t thrown it well since his struggles last year. Right now he’s a one pitch pitcher with command issues. He has continued to regress and you have to trade him this year or potentially not get anything for him next year.
