It never was a good idea. It was a panic move in a 4-run game.
Hindsight. A lot of y’all were happy just finally getting through Philly, and anything else being lagniappe. I know that was in the moment, and expectations reset once this series started. And winning Game 2 made us feel like we were in the driver’s seat. I didn’t mind him
coming in in the 8th. But pitching the 9th was a bad call.
Game isn’t over yet. Yamamoto hasn’t pitched in 13 days. Looks untouchable now, but how long can he keep it up? It’s only the bottom of the 4th. Chip away, keep it close, and maybe some Truist magic happens later under the lights.
But even with a loss, series isn’t over. Maybe Mahle deals tomorrow. And we’ve shown we can win a bullpen game in L.A. Hell, Kerr and Dodd have combined for 9 scoreless in their 3 starts.

We’ve been down 3 runs before. We got this shite.

I said from the moment he was in the pen that this is only a good idea if we're operating as if him throwing ~20 is him throwing his bullpen and that it wouldn't push him back at all.
...well...

Well you see there was this whole thing called the 2025 World Series where he threw 100+ pitches then came back out of the pen two days later and threw 40 more pitches to win the MVP.
Dude is a robot.

No it is not what happened. He was supposed to start Game 2.

Pulled all the right strings so far. Maybe he’ll move Ohtani to 9th next game
I get the analytic shite but I hate it. Maybe I’m old school but I like managers/players to have a feeling for the moment and delivering.
Lasorda and Gibson for example. That was the very first bet that I ever won. $1 with a neighbor. Big money! I was barely 11 years old. That probably became a pack of Donruss baseball cards.

Dodgers will break through at some point
It was predictable. This version of Sale was going to crack at some point.
But frick it. Let’s get some runs here
