Bowman says we aren't interested in Day. See his price tag.

Keith Law said today, in a trade with the Dodgers, that Jose DeLeon and Joc Pederson probably wouldn't be enough for Miller, but that it would be a good offer.

Also said it would be 2 years before Albies is ready.

Says Braves overvalued Olivera in Dodgers trade and undervalued Simmons in Angels trade.

I could get behind a Pederson, Deleon or Holmes, and Austin Barnes in return for Miller trade. Would give us two potential high upside players and a decent catcher for the next few years.

And yeah, Albies is ready mid to late 2017 at the earliest, no news there.

Olivera was a bad overpay at the time, and has only gotten worse since he got move to the OF. The Braves front office doesn't seem to value defense properly, which is a little disturbing since they are trying to mimic the whole Royals model from recent years.

This whole "rebuild" has just been weird. Starting with the Markakis signing, to not trading guys like Maybin and AJP at the deadline, now to not selling everything we can and talking about signing a closer.

I wonder if we'll be saying "boy, I sure miss the Frank Wren years" in the future? *sigh*

Let me show you how that would go down.

Coppy: Hey Andrew, what's going on man? We were thinking about packaging Shelby Miller with someone else for Seager. You want Olivera back? He's yours. Just say the word.

Marlins make Ozuna available. I'd love to go get a young guy like that with upside to play outfield.

He is in better shape than you IMO. You have better high end arms though.

Oh, for sure. But outside of Machado, Correa, and Buxton, you don't have much young guys who can hit. Jones and Bautista are getting older.

He has Schwarber, Goldy, Arenado, Seager, Heyward, Harper, Betts, and Polanco just on offense.

Yeah, but the potential is still there in my opinion. He could always throw back a Heyward and keep Thor.
