They would keep ranking teams beyond 25 until they’ve ranked 5 conference champs

Duke has the hardest conference strength of schedule. It’s not even close actually. But this is kind of a funny tie breaker.

Basically they played all the decent but not great teams and mostly beat them.

The tie breaker is conference strength of schedule, basically how many wins the teams you played in your conference got. Duke wins this handily

Or Duke could have not shitted themselves against Tech and this wouldn't even be an issue.

If Miami can’t make the championship in that garbage conference, they deserve to be left out of the playoffs

21 years and still have yet to win the ACC. Only even made the ACC CG once

The following teams have won the ACC in that timespan:

Clemson x9
FSU x5
VT x4
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech
Pitt
Duke/UVA (pending)

The following teams aside from the ones listed above, have appeared in multiple ACC CGS:

Boston College x2
Duke x2
UNC x2
Virginia x2

SMU made an appearance their first year in the conference and Notre Dame made an appearance the only time they were eligible.

Meanwhile in 21 years Miami is sitting at just one appearance, where they lost by 5 TDs.

Imagine telling someone in the summer of 04 when Miami was first joining the ACC the above information. They'd have thought you were crazy
