No replay (good)
Ending in ties (better than the 25 yard line)
No Targeting Calls

shite, I just want to go back to pre-targeting. I get the intent of the rule, but now even hits that aren't that bad are being called.

Yeah but you had the stupid Halo rule.

I agree 100%. These two games stick out most to me for some reason.

I was just thinking how great they were, too, then you go and post that.
Fun and gun Spurrier v. Peyton/Vols, Miami/FSU wars, powerhouse Nebraska, 1991 Washington, and C Woodson are the first things that come to mind for me. I also think that 1994 PSU team is underrated historically, at least from an offensive perspective. There might be better overall teams, but that was one of the most well-balanced machines I've ever seen.

They throttled a great Oregon team in the Rose Bowl.

Quentin Coryatt broke that poor kid's jaw and knocked him out on this play. After carting him off it was play on. No flags.

I miss Miami playing home games for national championships, and FSU and Florida winning bogus national championships after losing to Notre Dame and FSU, respectively.

The 80's easily. The Boz, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders, Doug Flutie, Tim Brown. ND vs Miami, FSU vs Miami, Oklahoma Vs Nebraska.

Agree but that Charlie Ward FSU squad was the best team that year. UF got their just desserts from Nebraska in 95 with Fraizer.
The 90s really do boil down to the state of FL. FSU was on an unprecedented run of top 5 finishes (14 consecutive when done), UF was super explosive on offense, fast on defense and Miami continued the Jimmy Johnson blueprint.
Nebraska and the greatest team of all time in 95 also have to be mentioned.

ABC college football theme, Arizona State with Jake Plummer covering almost every Game they played in 96, High shoulder pads, Beamer ball on Thursday night, Marshall Faulk 7 TDs vs somebody, Antonio Langham pick 6 vs Florida, Jamie Howard game, Andy Katzenmoyer, Lavar Arrington jumping over the center, fat arse Ron Dayne, lee corso in his prime.
