3 up through 11 should have felt somewhat safe. Certainly wouldn't expect to maybe be 1 down 4 holes later

On the opening hole of the Ryder Cup, Bryson DeChambeau unleashed a monster tee shot that landed just shy of the first green. Due to heavy rains the night before, lift clean and place was employed, leading to this exchange between commentators Terry Gannon and Notah Begay.

“You’re not only able to lift the ball, clean it, but change the golf ball,” said Gannon, before Begay added, “That’s one of the unique rules about golf, they can change the golf ball if they so choose.”

The pair’s comments might have led viewers to believe they could have changed between DeChambeau’s Titleist Pro V1x Double Dot and partner Justin Thomas’ Pro V1x, and, believe it or not, they could have. The following was obtained from the PGA of America when asked for clarification.

We really need Bryson/JT to set the tone. We are in the hands of JJ Spaun and Ben Griffin now

Why does Luke Donald walk like his arms and lats are too big to keep his arms down by his side?

That's called a CHOKE. From arguably our most reliable pairing.

Because he is on cloud 9

He was a dick less golfer that never could scare a major but he gets to take the majority of credit watching other golfers win now

If Cantlay can't win us Ryder Cup matches, he is dead to me. Only likable thing about that dude.

I’ve been thinking about that

He seems like a great man, but you just know he’s thankful for the young guys rewriting his gay golf career.

Matthew fricking Fitzpatrick is currently +4.5 in strokes gained at a Ryder cup through only 1 session

That is insane to me
