Burns may be the only player to bogey 18 all week

Yeah it’s retarded. The women tied in the solheim a few years ago and the Europeans never said the word “retained” in their celebrations. They said “won” every time. So they effectively treat it like winning

English, Morikawa and Henley smh

Obviously the last two putts were inexcusable, but he and Lowry were the best two players on the course today.

In college golf, if you withdrew (with 5 players) you used to get a full point. They changed it to where a sub can come in now. Insane that there’s an envelope that almost decided the Ryder Cup.

To be fair to burns, he had a full on party going on for both of his putts

To be fair to Burns, he shouldn’t be picked for anymore more Ryder Cups. He’s not cut out for this event.

Yeah if we had Mav McNealy this Ryder cup is a totally different story

Where did I say Burns was the sole reason we lost? Burns was the lowest rated player tee to green this week.

He did nothing in Rome, and did nothing in New York.

He was in the top 3 or 4 in strokes gained in Rome. He was statistically one of the better players.

Hiw can u get a half if you withdraw.

The captain or a designated sub should be there.

I mean it’s a complete what if. Take Mav and he sucks then people would be saying should have taken Burns. Bottom line is they didn’t show up the 1st 2 days. Have to figure out those formats and play them better

There were matches in Rome where Burns wasn’t playing great or anything, but he was carrying Scottie in stretches when they were paired together.

He’s a streaky player, but he’s never gotten on a hot streak in either the Ryder Cup or President’s Cup. He’s been average, but he’s also had multiple chances to come through late in matches to either earn a tie or win, and I don’t remember a single instance he’s delivered.

I thought burns made it for Scottie and he wasn’t paired with him at all. Weird

I can’t stand halved matches in singles. Keep playing until a winner is decided.

Not sure if the Presidents Cup still does it, but I am almost positive they used to if the winning team hadn’t reached the number of points needed
