They said Ling lost 317,000 by bogeying 18 instead of parring

Can they not still do that? Would be really interesting to see. It won't change anything at this point, but it would likely be pretty decisive about what should have happened.

It would only help if they had a camera from directly behind the tee, which I don't remember seeing

I knew it would be a lot, but I didn't know it would be that much. That is why I thought he would lag it and hoped it fell in instead of going at it aggressively.

And if they had it, we would have seen it 972 times by now.

darren rovell ?@darrenrovell 2m A sole 2nd place finish would have been worth $1,026,000 to Sergio. Instead he collects $237,500. Loss? $788,500.

No he wouldn't. Unless they interviewed him again today and said what he said last time.

Statement issued on Woods' drop at 14
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Tiger Woods hit his tee shot on the 14th hole into the water that runs down the left side of the fairway. He took a drop, hit his third shot short of the green, chipped on and two-putted for a double bogey. The PGA TOUR Rules Committee issued the following statement on the drop:"Without definitive evidence, the point where Woods' ball last crossed the lateral water hazard is determined through best judgement by Woods and his fellow competitor. If that point later proves to be a wrong point (through television or other means), the player is not penalized by Rule 26-1 given the fact that a competitor would risk incurring a penalty every time he makes an honest judgment as to the point where his ball last crosses a water-hazard margin and that judgment subsequently proves incorrect (Decision 26-1/17)."

Hey King Ranch why don't you shut the frick up

I did not watch the back nine but I am going ahead and say tiger cheated ..

This seems like a perfect use for that hd tv rule that was all the fuss at the masters

If Tiger didnt drop in the right spot its on Whittenburg and his caddy cause he clearly went by their judgement when he was stopped then they told him it crossed another 15 yards ahead. That is the rules, if you don't know for sure ask your playing partner and their caddy. The player can't use tv footage and there was no rules official there that seen the shot

King Ranch is just a sorry guy that sits on his computer all day wishing he could ever break par. He probably would be one of those gheys to call in a penalty.
