This coverage sucks. Show the damn shots. Who cares about these damn interviews.

As I type this, Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick are in the clubhouse with the lead at -4, Rahm is -3 on the 15th green with a long birdie putt, and Sheffler just birdied 17 to get to -2 about to tee off on the 18th. And I’m predicting the winner will come from Rahm and Scottie (though I will give Zalatoris a chance). But despite all the others bunched up around there, the winner will come from those 2 (maybe 3).
Granted, not a huge limb to go on since they are ranked #1 and 2 in the world, I just think they’re playing well and having won recent majors is gonna keep their rounds from getting away from them when they are faced with inevitable Sunday adversity.

Zalatoris is the only one of those three whose temper isn't red lining right now. Don't count out McIlroy. He has no business being as close to the lead as he is with the way he has played but a lot of times in majors a player who is in that situation at the end of the third round makes the most of it in the final round.

Rory has it right where he wants it. Remember, when it doesn’t count, count on Rory.

A par or birdie by Rory on 18 will have probably him paired with Burns tomorrow.
Dahmen has a shot to change it if he can get a birdie over his next 2.

And Rory hooks the shite out of his drive on 18.
I do that on the reg.

Right. Rahm had some bad luck, got pissed, bit reigned it in. Rahm 3 years ago would have shot 76 today. Sheffler was cruising at -6 then went +5 over 4 holes. He could let that get even farther away from him, but he reigned it in and finished strong. That long par putt at 18 was huge.

That gave me visions of Phil’s tee shot on 18 at Winged Foot

He’s been rolling in his putts to save strokes his last 8 holes.
They just said 8 putts in his last 8 holes before he teed off on 18.

I would love to see one of these interviews go like this.
Scottie, tell us about the third shot at the 8th.
Scottie reply.
Okay, Scottie now tell us about the tee shot at 11.

I could shave 10-15 strokes per round off my game if I could get relief on my bad shots.

When “hitting it on the screws” literally meant hitting it on the screws

Better equipment, free drops, easier courses
Were crowning these guys. Sad!
