That's weird how that works. Ball is so buried nobody can find it then someone says they felt it because they stepped on it so he gets to drop and get a way better lie?

Yeah, golf has some ridiculous rules when it comes to how penalizing some events are compared to others.

Oh you knocked a leaf off a tree in your backswing? Yeah that'll be a stroke.

Then a patron finds your impossibly buried ball with his foot so you get to drop it on top of the matted down grass because it took an army to find your bad shot.
