re: That latest Heisman odds still have Saquon Barkley as one of the Top 3 favorites....How?

Don’t put your eyeballs into my socket. It’s clearly Debatable
quote:I literally just made an entire post based on ALL of their stats. And again, eyeball test I won't even debate, I'll just say LF 2015 and end that debate right there, shut it down easily.
So basically your whole argument is LF is better because of stats(mainly his soph year)
I feel like you're all over the place in this argument.
quote:Are you on record as stating either LF was healthy in his final season or his stats would NOT have been better if he was? You're really reaching since you have insinuated you believe one of those 2 things. If you don't believe either, you agree with me, so what's your point?
even stats he would have accumulated if he was healthy.

LE is essentially on record saying SB is going to be the next Barry Sanders
this is going to be quite the amusing bump in a few years

JR LF never looked like soph LF to me. He gained some weight back. He was still good but he wasn’t 224 lb soph LF
I’m stating your argument is weak when it’s based on Barkley’s stats being sub par & then in the next breath you don’t discount LF for missing time, rather you just assume he’d be better.

What about his game do think doesn’t translate?
Let’s get you & shel away from this YPC argument against Rutgers

You do realize LF only played in 7 games that year due to injuries right?
LF averaged 25 carries per game in 2015, 17 in 2016...why? 23 carries and 28 carries in the 1st 2 games he played in 2016, then never topped 17 carries again. Are you going to with a straight face tell me that missing games and a severe decrease in carries was NOT the result of injuries? You're better than that.
From 9/24 to the end of the season in 2016, he had a TOTAL of 78 carries...not due to being injured, LE says. Looked just like sop LF that had almost 2K yards, LSU just decided to give him less carries for...no real reason, definitely not being hobbled with injuries?

AND really I hate even arguing this because it makes it seem like I’m discounting LF. It’s so close to me. It’s hard for most to see with the naked eye.

I think Barkley will be a fine NFL player. You've stated one thing and already clarified you meant something else entire re: him as a prospect, which has never been what I've argued, not once.

How did that read to you that I was denying he was injured? Are you drinking tonight?
That comment was about his weight. Not an injury

Shell you do realize I think he is the best pro prospect & best cfb RB since Adrian Peterson, right

quote:My bad, missed the "never" forget that portion.
How did that read to you that I was denying he was injured?
So you acknowledge he was injured that season, which is basically what i said and you took exception to before. That affected his Jr year numbers, that was my point.

1 I never argued against, the other is just silly talk at this point.
The best RB in 10 years goes a half season with 387 yards and 3.8 YPC...yea no.

Barkley’s strength is forcing missed tackles & hes been getting no help from his line. For instance against Ohio St he averaged -.5 yards before contact. Meaning he got hit in the backfield on nearly every rush. Ya, you read that right
Fournette was worthless when hit in backfield, as are most RBs.
He’s still getting it done in the pass game & return game. He has 9 TDs in those games as well
There’s enough tape on him to know what he is. Like you with LF, he should get benefit of the doubt

Barkley is no longer a Heisman candidate.
Only Big 10 people still think he is

17-158 3 TDs
6-66 reYDs
Became PSU’s all time TD leader tonight
Then there is this, showing his versatility. List is RBs from 2000

Booger with hindsight. I overstated his vision "weakness."
Saquon is great though. I think he is a notch better than Zeke was.
Honestly Guice is pretty far up there IYAM (and we are talking about pro potential).
