Cutcliffe can coach QBs.

Cutcliffe is the best thing to happen to Duke football since Spurrier.

Absolutely. I'm always disappointed that we were stuck with idiots like Carl Franks and Ted Roof.
He was a great young QB before Cutcliffe came, and now he is a legitimate First Team All-ACC player. Sean Renfree looks like a great player as well.

Renfree is going to tear up the ACC for the next 3 years after Lewis is done. Once Scott and the running game come along then Duke could be a team to watch out for in the ACC.
And Keys, how bout landing Irving? Biggest recruit since Jay. Gotta feel good about our chances with Barnes too.

I'd say it's almost an 80% chance HB goes to Duke. And I think UNC is the only other team with a shot.

I am pumped about getting Irving. Ironically, after not having a great point guard since Duhon (and failing to land Boynton and Wall last year), Duke may have to turn down one of the top 5 point guards next year (Quinn Cook, Nolan Smith's cousin) because of scholarship limitations.
I like Duke's chances with Barnes but think that Austin Rivers from 2011 is even more likely to commit than Barnes. It seems that the people saying that Coach K was in decline are just plain wrong. Unfortunately, much like with football, I had to see Luol leave after a year, Shaun Livingston and Kris Humphries never even step on campus, and the star of the team be more interested in dating a chick on the Hills than playing team basketball

If I had to do a breakdown, I would say 50% Duke, 30% UNC, 10% Kansas, 8% Oklahoma, 2% Iowa State.
A lot of that is guessing of course, especially because Barnes has been quiet about most of his opinions. He writes those extensive reviews of his visits, but he only includes facts and decidedly positive things.
FWIW, the Kansas, Oklahoma, and Duke fans on Scout are all pretty reasonable people, and it's worth reading their forums. The UNC fans are like a bunch of 12-year olds who still think that calling a team Puke or Dook for the past 15 years is clever. And the UK fans are more out of touch with reality than the Heaven's Gate cult.
The UK fans on this site are significantly more normal, and they don't actually expect 7 5-stars to sign with them this year.

Yeah, I post every now and then over on TDD, but the UNC fans on there are unbearable.
Barnes just fits perfectly into the Duke mold, and I think his relationship with K is what seals the deal. I think the only reason he would go to KU or UNC would be if Duke didn't have the pieces for a NC run. And I agree on Rivers, I wouldn't be surprised if he is a silent.
