Southern Miss gave them that win.

Isnt that always the argument..Of course you could look back in the game and a few different plays could have change the game for either team

And 1 more reason that Texas should be seeded 1, they have the same exact record LSU does in the NCAA Tournament 6-0.

So, if it's such a feat to share a record with LSU, how does that make LSU more impressive? They always set the bar.

OSU had a pretty good showing as did Baylor, so to say they didn't deserve to be there is not accurate.

no its still pretty accurate. OSU finished 9th in a 10 team league and Baylor lost 10 out of their last 11 games or something similar.

So your argument is that since Baylor went to the finals of a Regional as did OSU they did not deserve that bid, but UGA and Bama were deserving since they were from SEC. As to my statement earlier about having equal records, I was wrong I forgot that TCU beat them in game 2.

Minnesota beat Baylor in the 1 loss game, Baylor had beaten them in the first game. So by that standard then they deserved the bid over Bama.

Baylor didn't go to the finals of a regional.

Who said anything about Bama and UGA? It wasn't about who was more deserving out of Baylor, OSU, Bama and UGa. It's about who was more deserving out of the teams that didn't get in and OSU and Baylor. Like Missouri St.

As a graduate of Missouri State, I would say they didn't belong. Since they lost to OSU and Arkansas 2 times, did not get out of their POD in the MVC. I also worked in that Athletic Department when Hart, Howard, Cepicky, etc were there and we lost to Rice and Miami in the Regional Finals. If G would have scheduled right he would have been there, but he cant because they are the team nobody will play, they are just good enough to beat you, but not big named enough to give you a bump. They suffer exactly what the Men's program suffered from with Hinson in charge.

Anybody who has spent a good amount of time around the game of baseball can tell that this Texas team is not on the same level as ASU or LSU. This tournament will prove that. Sorry, but Texas doesn't have the bats to get it done from here on out.

And the media and national committee thought the Big XII was better than SEC this year.
well the post season pretty much ruined that myth

also not a coincidence as to which conference held the chair of the selection committee

I dont think ASU has great bats but their pitching is ridiculous. It comes down to pitching and defense. Im not that high on Texas' pitching but their defense is outstanding (even though they looked bad today w/ 3 errors)

texas won because they faced the only team in the tourney not in the top 10 rpi...much closer to 50 rpi

USM had no semblence of a bullpen, in short, Texas won because they faced a worse team, unfortunately for them that was the only team in the tourney worse than them

i'm an LSU fan but i like Texas, but i'm not going to pretend like their weaknesses havent been exposed in the post season...could you imagine if they had faced a legit pitching staff tonite?

The bigger snub was in 2001, when the AD at Texas A&M was the head of the committee and left us out.

On a side note, I am glad Dawg (Coach Berry) is taking over for Palmer. Since he was at SMS before going to Southern.

look who their playing hmmmmmmmmm

LSU had to face basically a national seed in super regionals, we won in 2 games. Texas faces TCU and it takes 3games for them. Texas went 22 innings without scoring on BC

Yes, we're DOOMED. If we are so very fortunate to get past ASU (who some here are predicting by several touchdowns), then may the Lord have mercy on us against LSU.
