I have lived here in Texas 20 years and find it amazing how difficult it is to find a good source for game times, playoff brackets, box scores…..
I have searched web, Apps, and physical newspaper. You would think with a sport that is so huge in this state that someone would become the go-to-source.
Anyone know a good place?

(Dave Campbell’s)

As far as papers, Dallas Morning News is the best in the state for HS sports and does a great job in the playoffs. I’m sure todays edition has a large section.

I feel you, our team won their first-round last night.

I can't find a box score anywhere

We play Duncanville next, they scored 74 last night

UIL website, athletics home, football, playoff brackets. It will link you to maxpreps for better viewing. That will provide up to date brackets and SOME box scores.

Otherwise, local papers are the best way to find box scores.

NFHS app you can watch games live, I think there’s a small monthly fee

MaxPreps you can follow game threads live, but they don’t have box scores

UIL website is easily the most intuitive for the bracket itself

Newspaper is probably the best outlet for stats

Unfortunately it’s kind of a conglomeration of sources

I dunno the answer for the site, I just know Tomball won last evening and it was cold and raining.

All of that to get New Caney in the second round. It is not going to be a good weekend for the Cougars. TYFYS

Edit: For as big as Houston is I’m surprised they suck as a newspaper for following high school athletics. Especially given the talent at schools in the surrounding areas.

Put "2022 UIL football playoffs" in a Google search, not "2022 Texas high school football playoffs".

Dave Campbell's is a good place to keep up

The UIL is their high school association: https://www.uiltexas.org/football/playoff-brackets

Fox Sports Southwest used to cover them well. Now that reporting is done on Bally Sports Southwest I'm hoping they will show every championship game.

Texas Football Friday Night app.

Also, idk what you are talking about. There is a glut of information online regarding texas high school football. Have you tried Google? It’s this search engine thing that’s pretty cool

Jamar Taylor and Edinburg Vela shot the selves in the foot once too many tonight. McAllen will be bounced in round 3

It really couldn’t be easier.

The UIL website has the brackets.

Texas Football Friday app literally has every single score in the state updated in real time.
