yeah I could see UT missing out on Luck but not RGIII. The week before we played them for the 4a 'ship, this dude's hype was higher than any player in TX (besides maybe Sam Mcguffie).
in the papers they didn't even mention our RB, and he broke Earl Campbells HS record for Td's and yards lol

I always heard Texas didn't believe RGIII would be a legit college QB and wanted to make a receiver out of him.

I wouldn't be shocked. Mack Brown is fricking clueless, I think he's the most overrated coach in CFB
Posted on 4/26/12 at 8:35 pm to dudeilovebeer
That could be, iirc Nebraska was the only big school to offer him,

Honestly I wasn't impressed with him when I saw him this year Baylor vs TAMU
Posted on 4/26/12 at 8:39 pm to FleurDeLonestar
That was probably his worst game of the season

They should have had their way with our defense in the 2nd half.

Andy Dalton as well.
Cam played a year of JUCO there.

Mayhbe is he wasn't interested in them? Didn't really fit the O they ran with VY and McCoy, seems like they should have been on RGIII.
I believe it was known that he was going to go to a top academic university which may be why UT didn't even bother. His final choices were stanford, rice, Northwestern.

i wonder if Luck ever seriously considered WVU... with his dad and all.
I guess they're scheme with Rich Rod would've been a terrible fit.... but could you imagine Andrew Luck in Dana Holgerson's offense?...
mind blown.

Forgot about Dalton. Greg McElroy beat Daltons arse in the Texas 5A State Game. It was pretty sweet. McElroy dominated that game.
Posted on 4/26/12 at 9:09 pm to dudeilovebeer
Oh yea ha. And Christian Ponder, McElroy also played him. He was in the city over. Man, Texas dominates Qbs.

dalton's from katy, IIRC.... don't know if TAMU game him a serious look or not.
Posted on 4/26/12 at 9:12 pm to lowspark12
Yep, Katy High. He wasn't highly recruited coming out that year.
