did OSU "run up the score?" how did they score their last TD?

Bout a 20 yard TD pass from Pryor to Hartline. It was with about 6 minutes left I want to say, only up by two possessions, so it wasn't that bad.

maybe when Wells come back and Pryor gets more experience, tOSU might be a force then.

tOSU plays #8Wisconsin 10/4

Wisconsin is the best team in the big10?

Penn St has been dominant so far

Either OSU, Wisky, or Penn St, one of those three.

not with their WRs

not against a team who has a QB who can run, or a really advanced offensive system

Just saw the replay, there was actually about 4:45 left when he caught it. Still it's not like it was under two minutes or anything.

BUMP!

Was at the game today - was interesting. Boeckman got booed off the field when he threw that miserable pass - it was pretty funny.

Pryor is the man. He still has a LONG way to go, but in terms of being a true freshman he is unreal. Its obvious the things he's good at, but he definitely needs to work on reading the defenses better. Troy played a metric frickton of man coverage and he never tried to take advantage of it. He also needs to throw the fricking ball away instead of trying to make a miracle, especially when you're in a field goal range then take a sack that knocks you out of it. This things will only get better.

Question for people watching it: On Troy's only TD pass in the second quarter, was Curt Coleman ultra-fricking-mega held when that dude was running? I saw it in the stands and went fricking bonkers but couldn't get a good view of it.

FWIW, we would have barely won and possibly lost if Boeckman was the QB. I said this week we need a QB that can roll out of the pocket to buy extra time with our o-line and thats what we got. Boeckman would have had 4+ additional sacks on the day I feel.

I'm feeling much more confident now about this team than I thought I would after this game.

Even on passing alone Pryor is better than Boeckman.

Pryor is going to be a beast, but better passer I don't think. Boeckman is not terrible, he just needs time to operate which our o-line can't provide. We have to play to our strengths and weaknesses, and that means Pryor for Heisman 09-10

Also, this game next week is going to be tough. I hate to say it, but Minnesota is looking pretty good right now. Its great to get into league play.

I don't really think so. Really, on that play, there was a lack of effort. He really should have been tackled 3 or 4 times, but ran through arm tackles.

Yea - and we couldn't gt off their damn blockers all game - it was pissing me off. Tackles and penalties need to be addressed if we're going to compete with Wisky or Penn St.

I guess the reason I'm so happy is because I feel like the team is at least heading in a positive direction and not mired in as much mediocrity.

Pryor + Beanie =

Also, one more quick story. After we got a big sack on Troy when they were in the red zone to end the first quarter, the players were coming over to the bench to switch ends. Pryor goes running out onto the field and starts pumpin the D up...high fives Laurinitis, jumpin around ,etc. Boeckman was seen heading toward the locker room to make progress toward his degree because he knew his future as a football player was done. Pryor brings attitude to the business-like team that it needed I think.

I couldn't tell if there was a hold on Troy's TD. OSU couldn't tackle worth a lick there, I know that. OSU needs to get much better on defense, and they need to run the ball more consistently, otherwise they will get tripped up in the Big Ten. Also, Pryor needs to become a better passer, but his elusiveness allows him to make plays that Boeckman can't.

Maybe those 2,000 people overslept because they haven't had power in a week.

Was at the game and couldn't believe how many empty seats there were.

Granted, there were still 102 some odd thousand people there, but more empty than I think I've ever seen it.
