That’s another reason why I mostly stick to the four Slams because all the mathematics that goes into the non Grand Slam tournament rankings is so confusing to me. You gotta be Theodore J Kazcynski to figure all that crap out.

See man MV, I know you’re busy in the ncaa football threads but this 3rd set has been incredible.

I see Rafa battled back from 5-2 to level it. I really didn't think his heart was in this tournament. That's what I get for doubting him.

The ranking system is actually pretty easy to follow. I think they just go back a year on points. The only thing I don't know is if you can acquire points other than 250s, 500s, masters, and majors.

No Bunk Rafa was down 5-0 in the third set and came back.

ETA: Medvedev had match point on his racket too up 5-1.

Awe man, that was awesome! Rafa down match point 5-1 and came back to win in a breaker. It looks like the Greek heathen Tsitsipas vs the Kraut Zevrev at 3:00 pm EST. I’ll check back in for that one.

Smug knocked out Novak to help his buddy Rafa secure #1.

I just finished watching the Djokovic vs Federer replay and it was a good straight set win for Fed who is now in the Semis. We still have Rafa vs Tsitsipas at 9:00 am EST and Medvedev vs Zverev at 3:00 pm EST. Some good tennis today.

In the first group Thiem is 1 and Fed is 2.

The other group is crazy. Shitface is in regardless, but he may want the 2 seed so he can face Thiem. Rafa can only get in with a win and a Zverev loss, but he would have the 1 seed, meaning he would face Roger. Even Med can sneak in despite being 0-2 right now.

I’m definitely pulling for Rafa to get in. I’ll try to check back in for the 9am match. I don’t want to watch espn today because it’s going to be a total crap show with what happened last night.

Bump
This is a good match and now we’re going to the 3rd set. I’m pretty sure Tsitsipas is the next generation dominant player.

ETA: Rafa comes back to win.

When Fed is in the semis and Bunk doesn’t give a shite, I guess it’s a dead tourney

Well said. It's a mildly interesting event to me. I got almost no enjoyment out of Fed beating Novak the other day. Nole wasn't into it. It doesn't feel right that Rafa is out after two wins.

The tournament has some juice if a couple of guys have the same resume for the year and are fighting for number one. But, with two major wins, I think everyone already felt like Rafa was the player of the year. Hopefully, this tournament is another data point that Thiem, Tsetse, and Alex are ready to take over with Daniil.

What a mess of one-hand backhands.

I remember some crazy guy claimed that stroke had no future.

Pride's boy advances to the doubles finals. How long has Mike had the Benoit Paire/Captain Obvious/Brooklyn hipster look?

Good morning Bunk, Crack. Is y’all is or is y’all ain’t watching Federer vs Tsitsipas right now?

ETA: Well that Greek heathen played outstanding man. I really believe Tsitsipas is the next #1 of the youngsters. I wish Frances Tiafoe could get his game up there.
