Can’t wait for it to be 55 and sunny after years of B1G fans talking about SEC teams can’t play up north in the winter

It likely won't be 55, but this favors Ohio State ironically

Going to be low scoring. The team that scores 20 wins.

The nod would be because our offensive line is depleted and their defensive line is outstanding.

FIFY, because the above is the forecast right now.

20 points is basically the number that TN has to hit under Josh Heupel in order to win. Since he took over in 2021, in games where Tennessee has scored at least 20 points, they’re 37-6. In games where they’re held under 20, they’re 0-8.

It’s a night game so forget about the sun, but it will likely be in the 40s during the day and high 20s at kickoff. I don’t see weather as a factor and actually hope it’s unseasonably warm. Nasty weather favors Tennessee in my opinion because it forces you to play in a phone booth, and we all see how that panned out vs Michigan.

How is the oline situation going to be for tOSU?

Good question. It also will depend on if Day decides to open up the offense some as well and not just run it right into Tennessee’s strength!

We will finally see if the "teams from the south can't play in the cold" trope will hold up.

Ryan Day will have his beard at peak performance. As for the Buckeyes, who knows.

What is hard to believe is Ohio State and Tennessee have only played once, the 1996 Citrus Bowl with Tennessee getting the win.

It’s not the cold. It’s if wind and wintry weather come with the cold. Cold with no wind or weather isn’t bad at all.

That game was played in a quagmire.

Using Accuweather for the forecast showed little wind and no precipitation with temperatures in the 30s. It’ll be about 10 degrees cooler than Knoxville.

Tennessee's team oddly enough is probably the best SEC team this year to handle cold weather.

I'd argue that Missouri knows colder weather with snow and ice. Kentucky is a bit colder but this year hasn't been good for them.

Ice storms can be the great equalizer.
