utley is more of a sure thing i would think, might have a crack relapse

I'm more concerned about Hamilton getting hurt than I am about a relapse. Still though, when healthy, he's a beast. I saw that special on the mlb network they had about him, and the coaches were saying that he still doesn't have it all figured out at the plate yet. Holy shite, if that's true.

Because he is hurt? His totals will probably suffer.

Redd, if you want Alexei we can start with Hamilton. I would add in more of course.

Mainly because he is hurt. I cant say that i totally agree with him, but they could have been more positive

quote:

Utley looked like a world beater last April, hitting .352 with 10 home runs, but his season only got worse from there, his monthly home-run total decreasing to eight, four, four, four and two the rest of the way. Needless to say, Fantasy owners felt a little bit slighted. But before you jump off the Utley bandwagon, keep in mind he played with a sore hip since June -- the very month his power took a big turn for the worse. He had surgery in November and vows to be ready for the season -- although the general recovery period was supposed to cost him the first month. Even with the bad hip, he still finished with a career-high 33 home runs. Certain second basemen -- Ian Kinsler and Dustin Pedroia, specifically -- have closed the gap on him in terms of Fantasy value, but Utley remains the main man at the position, even if he doesn't play the first few weeks of the season. His injury might keep him out of Round 1 now, but you could score a huge advantage at the position come May or June if you draft Utley early still. (Updated 12/15/08)

That's because Utley might miss 3 weeks or so. I'd take Utley in a keeper league.

I can't do it. I wouldn't trade Hamilton for anyone in the league right now. Seriously. It would have to be two beasts for me to let him go.

I will say that I got a little pissed watching the highlights of him in a Reds uniform. At least they got Volquez out of it though.
