he had more to work with than I did, and despite those rankings, i still think I can compete.

Everyone has a chance. You were an expansion team right? No doubt you had a worse start when you don't have a shot best 140 players to start. Nobes at least had some of those players but Smartass pretty effectively traded away the talent for garbage.

Nobes: honest break down
you're 2 best hitters are Huff and Hawpe with ARod out right now; good players, but not the kind of guys that can lead your team to many wins. Bradley was a good pick, but injuries are a big question mark. Vernon Wells is prob your next best player, who frankly, has dropped off a little. If all the stars align, you could potentially have a top 10 offense
Your pitching is a little better, with some upside there. But again, lacks a real stud to top your rotation. No one there really gets me excited.

nobes I wouldn't put too much stock into someone's preseason thoughts. I plugged the team into my software and got totally different rankings but it probably just depends on what projections you use so it's pretty irrelvant.

Port, your hitting could prob be ranked a lot higher. Im just not totally sold on a guy like Ludwick, and you have some guys on the down swing IMO (Lowell, Thome, Tejada, Guillen, Cabrera). Like I said with NOBES, if the stars align, your off could actually be top 5.
Pitching wise i think a lot hinges on Joba. Will he stay in the rotation? can he handle the load? will he break down? plus the guys on your bench offer no depth.
and no true closer there.

and dont get me wrong, i know my team isn't elite, it really has no chance to be, but i think i have a shot to be like cwill was in the basketball league and surprise some people. come mid season, i think i will be getting alot of offers from teams with playoff aspirations.

they are on my computer at home.
I just remember rouge ranking #1 and TT4E ranking last with goodfellas 2nd to last. I think geaux was 2 and LE was 3. I was 9th.

sounds good
i always say dont read too much into them. Really just to spark some debate during this dead period. I did them pretty quick and could have passed over something

No one will want to play my team in November is all I know.

this is my 1st time using this software so the rankings i have could be completely off. They are just based on projections.

I went back and looked at my pre season tdbbl rankings. I think I had Me, Krama, and you in the top 3.
I had McCain pretty low though.
Fairly accurate.
(I did have Rick and Stout ranked in the top 7 I think...LOL)

Anyone notice that rouge has too many players on his team?

And ftr, i don't need an analysis of my team to know that they suck.
