We have braces on there leg. Once they go into the loft, there brace is scanned with a electronic scanner. It tells you the time you come back and average speed of that pigeon. Awards are giving to the team with the fastest average and the first to finish. The upkeep for pigeons can get pretty expensive, so every month the members have to donate 10$ to cover the medicine they need, to keep them in good health.
