No worries, im done with trying on there, got someone or possibly two different people here in town to back me. about to go up there and register for the opener tomorrow and maybe the horse event while im up there. I agree that should have a nice prizepool i just really feel i have more of an edge on the field in the horse one and dont want to miss it.

The people on there are pretty unfair for staking if your the player imo they want to do like 80-20 them..

Lots of good poker events coming around the area. Final table of River ME at Winstar is streaming now,

winstar trip report:
just got back from that event..i played the main event on sep 2, and had a nice experience...i have to say, the winstar sucks arse, but it was nice to not have to fly all the way to vegas to find a main event with close to one million for first...the field(1500 players- 3 500 man day ones), was super soft, excluding a few online faces i recognized and a few tv pros...

the tourney had a descent structure early(25-25 level w/15k starting stacks), and then it turned pretty bad near crunch time(they skipped a few crucial levels)..i played really loose, trying to take advantage of my soft starting table and was able to get my starting stack of 15k up to 40k in 2 hours...then i got moved to a pretty interesting table...sitting to my right was "will the thrill", who was 48 hours off of winning a wpt in la for near 1 milli...to my immediate left was gregg raymer..and 4 to my left was dwight pilgrim(who won a ton of wpt money last year)...this was my first taste of a table full of "tv pros" in a few years...and i have to say..it wasnt that bad...pilgrim and will played pretty well(small ball/pot control), and raymer was pretty bad...he was a prototypical call station...

i survived that table for 3 hours, and then was moved to a new one...this one had maria ho(one to my right) and another online player who i have alot of respect for, michael hallen(i think he cashed 7 times at wsop this summer)..anyway, i had alot more trouble accumulating at this table, as we were nearing the money...

the day started with 500 players and 57 min cashed for something btw 4 and 5k...i 3-bet shoved a few times vs random people's opens, and never got called...then, an internet kid open shoved 11bb's into my bb from the sb..i looked down at a4 and decided to call with 27 bb's(knowing his range was certainly wider than that)...i was right he had k4 sooted, and i held...

a few hours later i found myself with 21 bb's and nearing the money..i had ak in the big and a shorty shipped from utg and a nit old guy flatted from mp...i shipped and the old man tanked forever and folded...the kid had aq and sucked out on me..i was down to @15bb's at that point..i fought back a bit, and found myself with 21bb in the bb when it folded to maria ho in the small..she raised @2.5x and i looked at a4 again..i figured she needed a pretty tight range of hands to call if i shipped, so i did...she had qq and called...gg me..

finished 104..meh..would have liked to make some money, but it was a good experience...asked a bunch of online beasts if my shove was ok and they all said it was standard...left soon after and drove an hour to dallas..tailgated and attended the lsu game...not a bad weekend..

side note: over the past 20 days ive played at gold strike(tunica), beau rivage(biloxi), winstar(ok), and lauberg du lac(lake ch), and i can say that the 1-2 and 2-5 games are wonderful..not as good as harrahs, but quite soft...thank goodness for that...

not playing the re-entry.

They are doing the registration at the promotions desk to the left once you walk by security
