i hear you, but heads up cash, and heads up sit n gos, are the ultimate test of nlhe skill...he excelled in both...trust me, he isnt a donk in a live cash game, if he beat the upper tier stakes of online heads up cash games...

so i win a $50 pot AK vs QQ and i spike a KA on the turn and river.
then this guy loses an all in AT vs AJ and is SPEWING shite all over. then he raises with TT and i call with 99 flop 349 i check he shoves all in for $16 and i snap call. Turn 10 river 10. my fricking life.

i want to give up i swear. i have never had one successful session in a cash game ever. i find it hard to believe but i've never sat down at a table and left with a profit.

Might need to drop stakes and adjust your play.
Talking to PC tonight I've changed a few things. I've thrown any connectors out of my opening range. They just really are not worth playing at micro level, and I bumped up my bet sizing to discourage loose players and maniacs from drawing out on me.
I don't plan on moving up until I have 30BI for the new level...

so basically playing straightforward tight aggressive?
edit: cause the 89s is what got me in trouble. guy calls OOP with A7s

Kind of. I've added a few other starting hands that Verneer suggested that aren't standard, but yeah. Cute play just loses money in the long run. I'll limp a few pots here or there if the let me with low PPs. I hate showdowns in micros so I just want the money as quickly as possible.
I'm just playing .05/.10 right now.
