TCU got jobbed.
Buckeyes had an easier schedule.
Guess the B10 influence in killing the BCS has clearly paid off

Let's assume TCU was ranked 5th this year.
If the same system was in place last year with the same on-field results this year, you would be 3 spots away from playing for a championship (playing in a playoff).
This year with the new system, you were 1 spot away from playing for a championship.
How is that not better chances?
1 spot out vs 3 spots out?

Yeah Wisconsin sucked on Saturday night, but do you disagree that they are a better team than Iowa State?
That's part of my dilemma how do you judge which team sucks more when they both are blown out terribly?
Lets downgrade this one 3 slots and upgrade this one from left field... Makes little sense in a logical setting.
Then you have the puzzling factoid of such a short time period between thinking a team is not third but, sixth in the span of five days in which they beat a division foe by 50+...
It just doesn't equate.

OH... Hypotheticals!!! Okay, lets play!
Okay, last year - 3 spots. This year - 2 spots (not 1), as we are 6th, not 5th...
That said, the other major polls also had us at 6th, and not any lower. Therefore, I'd say that we'd be in the exact same spot if the BCS was still around, so...

Yeah, OK.
I'm glad you agree, to whatever it was I said.

So TCU wasn't even the "last team out" this year?
lol
What a joke.

Maybe you should look at the poll that you're arguing in favor of, no?

I agree. TCU could have won the whole thing.

Come on...Wisconsin was 10-3 and Iowa State was 2-10. Teams have off days, but a whole season is a suitable sample size to judge a team.

It wasn't from left field. The committee ranked everyone last week based on what they felt they had accomplished to that point. They did the same this week. The totality of the whole season was accounted for, not just this weekend's results.

It doesn't matter. New week. New set of information to base rankings off of. TCU didn't hurt their resume, but the other 3 teams improved theirs.

TCU played solid ball over the long haul with a tougher schedule
B10 bought their way back in. Order restored, right?

Haven't looked at any polls.
Like I said, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were 5 in the BCS this year.

I'm going by what I think I saw and heard on ESPN at some point today. And that's OSU had the most difficult strength of schedule, TCU next, and Baylor had the easiest. Is that correct? And I also think I heard them say that the committee considered strength of schedule for OSU, Baylor, & TCU.

Well, then they'd have had a better chance in the BCS than the new system. I'm not sure what your point is now...

I think Ohio State had the better OOC schedule. The B1G might have brought the overall schedule strength down slightly behind TCU.

If the small 9 is unhappy about this, they can fix it with three moves:
1) Fire your moron commissioner
2) Actually have 12 teams (Houston, SMU, Texas St. Tulane are available)
3) Reclaim the name Southwest Conference - Yes, it is deeply tainted, but as they say in NASCAR and Bama, "If you ain't cheat in' you ain't trying"
