2000 Bama vs. Michigan Orange Bowl. An OT game. Brady does what Brady does.

Interesting enough he may have broken Alabama in that game. The Tide were prohibitive favorites going into the next season. Their coach tried to quit 3 games in. Later that year LSU ended a 31 game home losing streak to Bama.

This isn't new. Brady's been doing this for a while.

Not only did he play well in overtime you see him take the game over late 8n the 4th and give his team a chance to win in regulation

That bama team was fool's gold. They were carried by Shaun Alexander and Chris Samuels. That pass defense was pretty terrible. I don't know how they beat Florida twice. Tim Rattay and La Tech beat us in Birmingham that year. I remember staying until the bitter end. Rattay threw a 28 yard touchdown pass with like 2 seconds left and I insisted that we stay for the ensuing kickoff

I've heard many stories about how Mike DuBose lit a fire under his arse after he was pretty much told he would be fired if he lost to Florida in Gainesville. He took on a wholly different demeanor for the rest of the season. Whereas before he was kind of hands off, he was in the faces of his players and very intense from the week of the Florida game and onward. He reportedly went back to his old ways in the lead-up to the 2000 football season and it showed.

Nah, that team wasn't any good outside of Shaun Alexander. Dubose was banging his secretary and saved his job by somehow beating us twice to win the SEC.

I was at the rematch in Atlanta. It wasn't even close and Alexander didn't even have a good game.

I'll be honest. We all believed we got lucky as hell in the Swamp and the rematch in Atlanta was gonna be a nightmare. Then UF returned that opening kick and it was like yep here we go.

Then somehow we just whupped em
