If it was me making the hire. I do this
Call Vitello and say I want you but I can’t get you. But give me a number and make UT match it
Call Godwin and give him a number off of Maineri and make him turn me down
If that fails call John Savage or Pat Murphy until they call the police on me
If that fails find a JUCO coach that has won.

Nope because his teams always implode at Omaha and his players seem legit stupid at times
I like Savage a ton because of his pitching staffs seem to always be above average With the resources he would have at LSU just think of the pitchers he could get

Mainieri's teams try small ball but usually botch the shite out of it. There's no problem with it if you can actually execute.

It's hard to justify going all-in on that style with the way the NCAA is boosting the balls for more offense these days. Nice to be able to do both though, and it's particularly useful at TD Ameriturd.

It's wild how broken the pitching is. When Mainieri refused to leave pitchers who were doing well in the game Monday, he almost guaranteed having to overuse Marceaux in that game. And here's the end result.

It’s almost like Dunn doesn’t understand you have to throw to keep arm strength and you have to ask your pitchers daily how they feel
