Minnesota and Wisconsin are primary rivals and GopherHole / 247 will tell you the same. As I said, it extends far elsewhere, despite some chant. Hell, Minnesota fans will say anything, anywhere — “Better dead than red” is also popular when UW/Minn aren’t playing. For Minnesota/Wisconsin, there is a natural rivalry that doesn’t exist elsewhere in the West.
Wisconsin is not a rival or Nebraska or Northwestern. Not even sure why the Freedom Trophy exists.

Spur,
Before the Aggies went to the SEC where would put the rivalry w/ Texas? I remember watching that game yearly, good games, intense.
From afar, seems like the fanbases still hate each other to this day. Hell just recruiting is a rivalry game. One that never ends.
Makes ASU/zona look like best buds.

I will add...
Wasnt it AZSt fans that during a basketball game started chanting "PLO...PLO..PLO" to Az guard Steve Kerr?
(His father i believe was a professor at American Univeristy in Lebanon and was targeted / died in some attack)
That's some next level dispicable hatred right there. I don't want Alabama to lose to AU..UT in anything, but would never go close to that far.
(I did laugh at "Son of a preacher man" on the PA system...that was funny)

Yes. Kerr's father was the president of American University in Lebanon and was murdered by PLO gunmen.
ASU fans chanted PLO, PLO at Kerr the next time he played at ASU, and he lit up the Devils.
It's a truly disgusting moment for ASU. Like I said earlier, I'll talk **** about ASU, but a guy like Pat Tillman, I have nothing but respect and admiration for his service to the country.

MN/WI isn't the first not rivalry in the Big Ten West. Iowa and Nebraska don't like each other at all. That's why the game is on Black Friday. Yes, Nebraska is "new" to the conference but there has been a war waged by the fan bases in Western Iowa for decades.
