Perhaps I wasn't clear. Yeah, maybe OU isn't the perfect, ideal example. But his general point is correct regarding big programs vs. small and the difficulty of their respective schedules. You're looking at this too narrowly.
Sure. I don't deny that NIU played a garbage schedule compared to OU.
But so what?
Fact is he has no right to complain. If he wants only the very best and most deserving to get into BCS games OU flat out didn't deserve to go. You don't just get to say one part of the criteria is unfair b/c it didn't benefit you while paying no never-mind to another part that would. That is extremely hypocritical.
Also, until last year OU has probably been the school that has benefited the most by the convoluted BCS rules and secret computer formulas.
There was nary a peep of how unfair the rules were by him when OU got to go to the BCS title game after getting shellacked by KState in the Big 12 title game years ago. He got up on his pedestal and crowed about how the rules were in place, everybody knew them, and too bad so sad for anyone who felt OU didn't deserve to be there.
Now the one time it doesn't fall his way he is crying like a child. It's halfway through May and he is still whining about it.
What's really funny is you know he isn't going to touch the two BCS slots per conference rule b/c he damn well knows that overrated league that fills us with propaganda about how great it is would have taken that spot he feels entitled to.
And honestly, he is complaining about the wrong school. NIU would have never even been in the BCS had it not been for an 8-5 Wisconsin winning the Big Ten. He should be more pissed that a BCS conference winner with such a poor record still gets in than a small conference school that went 11-1.

Same number of losses, UGA won their division, and was ranked higher in the BCS. It should've been Georgia
I was just using the eye-test. I threw logic out the window when not relying on a conference cap.
