And in someways that comfortableness is sometimes taken for granted on a golf course by golfers.

Well it looks like he may have a sweet job with Scott from the looks of this past weekend.

but I know for a fact that Tiger worked his rear off practicing golf.
And I have never said otherwise. He is a tireless worker and has/had a passion for the game like I have never seen before, However, His body is breaking down and wherther you like it or not steve had a major effect on Tigers game.

How did Steve have a major effect on Tiger's game? Was he giving him swing tips between shots? He very seldom read putts. Other than carry the bag and walk off yardages, what did he do?

um, no. tiger has won at every level. it's not like he started winning when steve came along.

How does this go together? Tiger's body was good he was great. Tiger's body falls apart so does his game. What does Williams have do with it?

Caddying is definitely much harder than people realize.

Ok. then if CADDIES are so unimportant, let the players carry their own shite. Its pretty simple.

Adam Scott was always trying to break through and all off a sudden he comes out and wins. He obviously did help but with that said Adam Scott played the golf but Stevie will bring him to new heights.

I love how you guys take a debate and go straight for the greatest irrelevancy. It doesn't matter how valuable (within a rational range of possibilities) a caddy is to his player's success. It is still a gross breach of loyalty and ethical behavior for him to (i) trash the guy responsible for whatever wealth he has been able to accumulate and not squander and (ii) take advantage of his current employer's success, less than 5 minutes after the win, to push his own grudge with Woods. Regardless of how good a caddy he is, and regardless of what he may have contributed to Scott's win, he's still too much of a loose cannon to trust with that job.

Or u could just be smart and realize that since everyone has a caddie the impact of a caddie is pretty small, almost inconsequential
If that had happened though, I see it only benefitting Tiger. For most of his prime tiger was by far the most in shape guy on the tour.
Carrying their own bag would have killed Phil, Daly, etc.

For example?? Is he going to win multiple majors now?

Very possible. So If he wins this week, I guess Steve will have not made ANY impact????

A good caddie is probably worth 2-4 shots per average in each tournament, sometimes more. A bad caddie will lead to a lot of missed cuts. 2 shots is a lot of money on tour.
The people who say a caddie is inconsequential have never played at a high level.
