1. Howard
2. James
3. Rose
4. Griffin
5. Bynum
Age and the fact that there is no true low post play anymore. Bynum without the handcuffs of Gasol and Bryant would be a beast.

Starting a franchise, I would go in this order
1.) Lebron
2.) Howard
3.) Durant
4.) Wade
5.) Griffin
6.) Rose
7.) Randolph
8.) Pau
9.) Westbrook
10.) Aldrige/Love
My list for 1 season would be different

I would pick Durant first without a doubt. He and Rose will no doubt be the new superstars of the game as our current stars begin to age.

How many days in a row is this that someone has started a NBA top 5 thread?

Durant and Rose aren't that much younger to pass on Lebron and Howard. Lebron and Howard are also just more valuable in today's game also.

I like the Ibaka pick, but for a guy that can leap out the stadium, AND block whatever is heading toward the goal AND has a sickly accurate 15' jumper...when there is someone near the rim, he is hesitant to flush that shite in someone's face, his biggest flaw, he's fricking nice.
Perk should change that some.

if all players were put in a draft today and you had to select a team going forward who would the top 5 picks be in your opinion.
The first four would be:
LeBron
Rose
Howard
Durant
The fifth is harder to predict, I could see teams taking:
Russell Westbrook
Dwyane Wade
Pau Gasol
Kobe Bryant
Maybe even,
CP3
Derron Williams
Nowitzki
Andrew Bynum
