Right now, Brooks Orpik has more playoff points and goals than Steven Stamkos, Sidney Crosby, and Nikita Kucherov... combined. Orpik also has two career playoff overtime goals. Ovechkin has zero.

The Caps are always all business on the road. I’m expecting a sweep to be honest now after 2 somewhat ugly wins. I thought the Canes would take at least 2.

Caps have never, in the entire franchise history, swept a series. I don't believe they will start now. But I do think you're right, they are all business on the road (which is why they tend to close series out on the road than at home (they clinched all four series on the road last year) and this series so far has been boring and professional. But it just takes the Canes to take care of business at home for this to be a series again.

Bolts look like a team that has run into a team hitting on all cylinders, and can't find the next gear. Part of that is on them, part of that is due to Columbus. The Penguins look bad right now, and are coming unhinged. They look like the team that lost in Philly a few years ago, not the team that won the Cup in consecutive years. I don't know what's going on there. Both can still come back, but... yeah. Time is running out.

Both teams still have work to do but I'm really looking forward to a Caps / Islanders series. Eggman against his former team definitely has classic storylines to it.

Unrelated...but just hearing about that crazy final win by the USA in the Women's World Hockey Championships in Finland. USA wins in a SO but it looks like the Finns got effed big time. They scored what appeared to be the winning goal but it was disallowed after a 12 minute video review. The goal was disallowed due to goalie interference...but the USA goalie was given a penalty. Didn’t have a Cup win until last year either. Breaking trends, Baloo! Also, one thing I’ve noticed being at the first two games is the sense of calmness amongst the team and fanbase. In years past, it was here we go again and a ton of nervous energy. It’s been so much more calmer and less antsy.

Totally with you. You could feel the butt puckering from Dallas in previous seasons, and now this team has zero panic. Even when they blew the lead in Game 2 after giving up two flukey goals, there was no worry from me or on that bench, it seemed.

With all due respect-after Bruins which may be the most complete back to front team in the east after the Lightning-I am not scared of any team in the East-our big challenge is getting past our arch nemesis’ we do that and we will roll. I’m certainly not scared of some fat Russian cocksucker who’s partied the whole offseason. Sincerely Canfan

Milbury is such an apologist. I can not believe they just completely forgot how DeBrusk went after Kadri first with the knee to knee

He's a fricking liability in the postseason. Toronto can win this series without him.
