No but I watched the Czechs beat the fire out of Sweden today. They may be the best team in that tournament.
I haven’t seen Russia play yet though. GBR looked competent vs Germany today as well. Finland was leading Slovakia when I had to leave.

The Czechs are coming back strong after a kind of dead period for about 10 years

I love international hockey. I hate that they’re seriously thinking of making the rink smaller

Jones may have turned that proverbial corner in Game 6 against VGK.
The team that lifted the Cup last year did so after losing their first two first round games at home in OT. We could well be seeing another team that comes back from the dead in the first round, then goes all the way to erase their "legacy of failure."

Liam Kirk’s WJC totals are impressive. He’s on this team and got drafted by Arizona late.

It seemed they (GBR) had a ton of Canadian College players and guys who have moved to Canada to play.
They reminded me of a faster Latvia the first time I saw them in a World Tournament, just no Irbe level goalie.

I wonder how many teams like Arizona St and the PAC teams starting up will take chances on guys from non traditional hockey countries.
Wasn’t Arizona St in the NCAA Tournament Regional this year? I seem to think they were.

Latvia seems to be swinging more toward basketball these days like Lithuania

I also like the larger international rinks. It gives players more space to create and use their speed. And makes for a more entertaining game. I wish the NHL would change to the larger ice surfaces, but it will never happen.

Canada is making GBR look very bad. I guess Canada losing last game made them decide to give effort in front of the Net.

Krzyzewski promoting the Jerks in the opening. Weird, but cool.

So, how does everyone feel about ANOTHER Boston team playing for a Title?

I have zero problem with it.... Winning is winning...........

This is looking more and more like a sweep.

Not sure about that... But Boston knows this is a huge game to take a 2-0 lead..... Carolina was knocking them around in the 1st but that has went away now......

That’s typical for Boston to start slow. They improve as the game wears on and Rask has been a wall.

Bruins are dominating in every facet right now. No doubt that Carolina will step up their game when they get back to home ice...but I fully expect Boston to take one of those games.
