FSSW will be showing all of the Stars first round games right along with NBCSN, so us local fans can still enjoy the best commentary team in the NHL.
ETA: Stars about to get all up in these playoffs with an offense first mentality.

Said this in the other thread but, Pens wearing Pittsburgh Gold alternate sweaters at home throughout playoffs as well as gold shirts for the crowd.
Now widely expected the Pens will officially change their color scheme back to Pittsburgh Gold next year. RIP Vegas Gold.

I'm hoping for Caps-Stars
With Kings and I guess Wings or Rangers as backups.

Caps-Stars is my dream finals. I could go to the games here in Dallas, but root for the Caps. My wife will be rooting for the Stars if this is the case, so it should be an unpleasant experience for one of us.
Trying not to think that far ahead, as it really is unlikely to get ONE team you like in the Finals, much less two.

As much as I love Dallas, I will be shocked if we make the finals.

I don't like the format. Why are Dallas, Chicago and St. Louis in the same bracket? I'd rather it be seeded by total points.

First 2 rounds are within Division.

Right. I prefer the NBA format.

I think I like it, the rivalries in the NHL are excellent and mostly within Division so it provides some guaranteed excellent playoff rivalries and for multiple rounds.

I'm not a huge fan. I think it punishes teams in good divisions and rewards teams in bad divisions. The Panthers have a much easier road to the ECF, as its arguable the top 3 teams in the Metro are ALL better. I mean, if I could have the Caps trade for the Panthers draw right now, I totally would. Central teams also get hosed, as the Hawks and Blues have to play in the first round.
That said, it is nice to get rivalry juices flowing. I mean, let's all get nostalgic for the time Dale Hunter got Mike Keenan fired. We all hate Mr. Spacely, right? The Flyers had a 3-1 series lead and a 3-0 lead in Game 7 in 1988. Let's check to see what happened in overtime...
I mean, how bad to have you to be to blow a 3-1 lead TO the Caps?! That's getting things arse backwards.
