You know this team is toast when Reinke and Santini are forced to play. The depth from 2 years ago just isn't there.

Blues are slow
They needed an 82 game grind it out playoff. These short seasons, and restart seasons exposed the lack of team speed.
Just like in last years playoffs, they are being skated by, like in quick sand.
Army did a terrible job, bringing in players to fix last years exposure. Krug was a really bad, costly move, 6 more years at a 6.5mil cap hit. Maybe deal him to Seattle? They will need some bad contracts to get to the floor.

And they lost a lot of size used to wear teams down in the past. Krug isn't going anywhere. He was 3rd on the team in assists. I just figured he would score more, and improve the power play. Maybe he picks up his game next year like Faulk did. But the problem is neither of them are as good in their own end or have the size to clear the crease and wear teams down as effectively as their predecessors did. The team is never going to be fast no matter whom they get rid of. But some change is definitely needed. Schwartz, Tarasenko, Binnington among others played like dogs all year.
