When you vacation here, plan it during hockey season, and go to a game. Maybe your opinion will change about the fans. Maybe not. You undoubtedly have a great time. It is a fantastic venue. Lightning games are a blast.

Yes..... there will be yanks rooting for the opposing team. It’s just the way it is. The playoff series they played in the Thunderdome (now, the trop) against Philly had the largest crowds in NHL history, to that point. Lots of Flyers fans at those games (probably 65/35 Lightning fans)

Honestly, I don’t get this. They’re a fun team to watch, and no Tampa Bay teams have any really “bitter” rivals. I hate lots of teams. There aren’t too many people that hate the Rays, Bucs, and Lightning.

I guess that’s kinda changed recently. Ya know... haters and all

I can attest to this - was in Tampa a couple of seasons ago and went to the Leafs/Bolts game. Crowd as 60/40 Leafs, I sat in the 2nd row corner near that massive organ. Atmosphere and arena was fun, only thing that really sucked was their beer prices - most expensive I've ever seen. $15 for a can of domestic water and $18 for the rest. Couple of fun bars and restaurants across the street, I headed over to the outdoor bar after the game and caught the tail end of a Chiefs/Chargers TNF game - lot of nice people in the area.

What a sore arse loser you are. Please never come to Champa Bay. We don’t like loser fricks tainting our fresh air.

And before you call me bandwagon blah blah blah I was in last years Stanley Cup finals thread also. You know, the one the Bolts won also?

He is so salty. Maybe it’s because Vasy is proving he is the better goaltender and it hurts the Habs to know nothing on their team is better than Tampa. Centers, Winger, Defensive lines, keeper, coaching. Man it’s tough to be outclassed in every part of the game.

What bothers me are the ones that raise their kids to be yankee fans. Daddy raises kid in the Tampa metro area to be a yankee, and points to poor attendance as evidence that Tampa Bay fans suck.
