Bunk it’s just the way they rigged the expansion draft and allowed them to trade picks that nobody ever got to do before is bs. They rigged this whole thing for them to get to WCF.

They could tell teams who their picks were instead of taking just players in expansion draft. Then the original team would just give them draft picks or offer another player not signed or expiring. Plus they the NHL made more player available than before.
Then they could turn around at the draft and trade players without them being signed or having real rights
So they basically were trading FA for 2nd line players. When Minnesota started they got 4th line players

To be in playoffs because of who they got in goal and then at trade deadline.

Hurricanes only had a 3% chance to get top pick. But now they are guaranteed a top 3 pick. Blues pick was conditional, so Flyers now get their pick.
