MLB announces one additional #STLCards player has tested positive, postponing Friday's game against the Cubs. Decisions about rest of the series are still pending as team goes through additional testing and contact tracing.

Yadi confirmed he was one of those who initially tested positive. I love my redbirds, been a fan for over 30 years, but these dumb shits are making it really hard for me to care about baseball anymore.

They should have to forfeit this weekend.

This is all very frustrating. I just want to watch the fricking Cardinals play baseball.

I'm still enjoying watching other teams (especially the Padres, when I can catch them), but holy shite it would be nice to actually watch my favorite team play a game for once.

Is that a "covid isn't a big deal" response?

I am not opposed to this strategy at this point. The Cardinals suck arse and have no position player worth a damn besides Goldie.

But still. fricking morons.

The #STLCards , even if they are permitted to resume play Saturday against the #Cubs, must play 55 games in 51 days. If the entire series is postponed, it's 55 games in 49 days. #Brutal.

MLB cannot keep kicking the can down the road. They have to come up with other solutions. This is getting to a point where it’s not just unmanageable for the cardinals but you’re also affecting other teams.

I think they will just go off of Winning % as long as we play 90% of the games.

They did. 60 man rosters these dumb counts refuse to use.

They should have an alternate team that’s been practicing at a different facility and fully ready to play when shite happens. Apparently Manfred just wants the idea of alternates available.

You know, this is a microcosm of the past several years. It’s like they turned stupid overnight after LaRussa and Pujols left.
